2008 promises to be a very exciting year with the EXTENSION of Visit Malaysia year 2007 (VMY 2007) to August 2008.

The year 2007 is over but the country’s much talked about event, VMY 2007, is not. The campaign, with the theme Celebrating 50 Years of Nationhood, has been extended to August with a new theme, One Golden Celebration.

The extension is also in line with the celebration of Malaysia’s 50th year of independence which ends on August 31 this year.

While the VMY 2007 campaign has been more event-driven, with over 200 national and international-level events and activities, the One Golden Celebration campaign will focus more on enticing tourists to come and visit our many wonderful destinations.

These promotions are further enhanced by three visit -State-year campaigns by Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu - each with its own theme and campaign.
